Push Up Challenge: A Triumph of Strength and Unity!
We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of our Push Up Challenge! Over the past weeks, our community came together in an inspiring display of determination and teamwork. With 88 students and staff participating, we collectively completed an astounding 99,166 push-ups. This incredible effort helped us raise $3,362 for a worthy cause.  Some of our students who raised the highest amounts were:  Zach Sammut, Jamie Hennessy, Finn Van Aalderen, George Barry, Xavier Gerritsen and Jude Mathey. The challenge was more than just a test of physical endurance; it was a testament to our spirit and solidarity. Each push-up represented our commitment to making a difference, and the funds raised will go a long way in supporting our chosen charity. One of our participants, Alex, shared his thoughts: "Participating in the Push Up Challenge was an amazing experience. It was incredible to see everyone come together and push their limits for such a great cause. I'm proud to be part of this community!" Did you know? Push-ups are not just a great exercise for the arms and chest; they also engage multiple muscle groups, including the core and lower body. There are over 50 variations of push-ups, such as clapping push-ups, diamond push-ups, and Spiderman push-ups. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, cheered, and donated. Your enthusiasm and dedication have made this event a resounding success. Let's continue to build on this momentum and strive for even greater achievements in the future! Keep pushing forward!

Performing Arts Showcase
We are delighted to celebrate the success of the inaugural Central Coast Catholic High Schools Performing Arts Showcase, held at St Edward’s College Theatre on the evenings 20 and 21 May. Conceived as a variety concert, the Performing Arts Showcase aimed to highlight the excellence in performance across our Central Coast Catholic High Schools. The program featured vocalists, ensembles, drama, and instrumental performances from students representing St Brigid’s Catholic College, St Edward’s College, St Joseph’s Catholic College, MacKillop Catholic College, and St Peter’s Catholic College. Each school nominated four polished performance items, creating a diverse program that included Drama, Music, and Musical Theatre. The performances ranged from exquisite solo and small ensemble pieces covering Classical to Contemporary Rock and Pop, as well as large vocal and drama ensembles. This event provided a wonderful opportunity to showcase the incredible work being nurtured in our Secondary Catholic Schools and the immense talent of our students. It allowed them to shine in front of their peers and the wider community. Both evenings were incredibly well attended, and the performances were spectacular. It was a fantastic opportunity for students and teachers to collaborate, fostering a real sense of community among our performers and schools. A heartfelt thank you goes to our Performing Arts faculty for their dedication and effort in making this event a polished and seamless experience for both performers and the audience. Additionally, the Vet Entertainment students played an integral role, completing valuable work placement hours on a live production, including lighting, vision, follow spot operation, and working side of stage. Congratulations to all our performers and our wonderful MC’s! We look forward to building on this event in the coming years. [foogallery id="60854"]
